Carbon offsets

During the creation of Coral, not a second has passed without thinking about how to become a more aware company with our IMPACT, finally it is the only term in which we can measure how our business affects the environment, our social and economic environment.

We have had to study about sustainability, and learn how to calculate our carbon footprint, and even measure it for each product. The first time we had to think about this, we did not know where to start, measuring the energy required to manufacture a product is not an easy challenge to do, first we must think about our suppliers, and ask ourselves, what have they done to date? when the raw materials are delivered to us?... as I said, it is not an easy task.

By collecting all the information, we must begin to quantify, how much energy we spend for manufacturing, how many hours of artificial light we use, what displacements and what types of transport we use during the production process and delivery to the customer.

At the end of our analysis, we have managed to define Coral's carbon footprint, and to mitigate our IMPACT, we have decided to carry out carbon offsets to neutralize our carbon footprint.

But what are carbon offsets? are "actions intended to offset the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere as a result of industrial or other human activity, especially when quantified and traded as part of a business plan."

So every time you buy a piece of Coral, we are making a contribution to reduce the carbon footprint generated during manufacturing.
